New Crank

Here's a long story made very short: I broke my crank and am buying a new one. I've been using a 170mm old Sakae road crank with one ring. Now I am looking at either a 1990s SunTour Cyclone 160mm road crank ($80) with 42 and 52t chainrings (I use 52) and a new Sugino RD singlespeed 165mm crank with a 48t ring which I'd replace ($75).
I'm having a hard time deciding which one to get. I really like the SunTour and if it were 165mm I would have it right now, but I'm a little concerned about the length. 170mm is the shortest I've ridden on anything except as a kid. Will going down 10mm be a big deal? I like this one better because I really like old SunTour stuff and may want to gear up with it on a different bike. I like the Sugino because it is a single speed crank and is 165mm. I don't have the means to ride with either of them. What do you guys think?
