Bikes: 2007 Jamis Trilogy

Largest Dilema (Ethical?)

I havent ridden in years, a few months ago I started borrowing a friends bike was riding a ton. Figured it was time to buy my own. I purchased a 2007 Jamis Nova, got a 30 day happiness/refund/return guarantee type thing.

I am coming up on those 30 days, and regret getting a CycloCross bike now, I realize that I do not want to mess up my road (only bike) doing some off roading, and I can borrow a mountain bike. The dealership mainly stocks Jamis and Bianchi, they can get pretty much anything else. I was thinking about staying with Jamis but upgrading? to the Ventura Elite or the Jamis Comet. All 3 are priced identical, there is no real ethical dilemma here right? My bike is in essentially perfect condition still. I really enjoy road riding and I competed in a triathlon this summer, and was bitten by the bug, planning on two dualthons this year and an Olympic distance tri next spring followed by 2-3 sprints.

I think given my new goals that the CycloCross is not going to be the best bike for me.

Please any thoughts.
