Proposal to all contributers of the Numbskull Of The Day thread:

Well, it's been over a year since the first day the Numbskull Of The Day thread premiered, and over the span of two threads (separated due to sheer number of postings), the Numbskull thread has garnered over 3000 posts.

I've noticed a trend for some folks regarding the timelessness of some of the Numbskull posts - so much so, that there have been suggestions of these posts gaining the title of Numbskull Of The Month - or Year.

As a result, I have a little game-show proposal here, entitled:

"The Craigslist/eBay Numbskull Award Of The Year"

As the title suggests, one lucky Craiglister or eBayer from the Numbskull Of The Day thread will be nominated by BF members (on a separately moderated page, independent of BF) as the all-time Numbskull Seller of the Year.

As for the structure of the game, BF members will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite "Numbskull Of The Week" - these being from ANY recent thread addition from that week. The votes will be compiled to locate the crowd favorite. The four individual winners of these weeks will become contenders in their respective "Numbskull Of The Month" competition, voted upon, once again, by BF members. Likewise, the twelve contenders (only three for '07, obviously) will become the contenders in the final award for Numbskull eBay/Craigslist Seller Of The Year.

The winner will be showcased on the Numbskull Of The Day webpage shrine...and we can have a good laugh over it. (...and you thought we'd award a prize! Anyone for Monopoly money? )

Now, if your asking what the point of this is...well, there isn't. It is solely an idea to keep the Numbskull Of The Day thread entertaining and humorous. No harm is intended, as has been indicated since the inauguration of this post.
