It's big enough for everything that isn't a wrench.. when I'm in full solo roadie mode, I can fit everything I need in there to fix everything but a crank - multitool, chain tool, tire levers, tube, co2 inflator+extra cartridge, cash/ID/tokens, and cell phone. It's small enough to not stick out / rub my legs, and the price is right at 7 bucks. They also make one with a quick on/off twisty-clip but it's more expensive.
I believe mine might be the one that's one size up. I usually just have a tube, tire levers, an extra light, pieces of an old tire in case I get a rip in my current and multi-tool. The one I have isn't the most convinent to take on and off, but it's on my road bike where I don't lock it anywhere. I'll have to look into something for my ss, as I'd hate to be stuck.
