Chances are if you are DFL today "saving your legs" and pulling out of the race wont help you place in tomorrows race. It will just be another day with another DNF cause your ashamed of a DFL.
Might as well get something out of the weekend and stay in the race. At least you will get some miles in.
Not true! I DNF'd once last season... came back the next day and took 2nd. It was a collegiate 3 race weekend. I don't know a single rider, no matter how strong, who can go an entire season without a few bad race days.
