I also have a "Silver Bullet" Surly Pacer. It's a really nice frameset. Not the lightest thing ever, but comfortable, nice looking, and durable. Are you going to put fenders on it? If so, let me steer you away from Planet Bike Freddy Fenders. I like Planet Bike's stuff, OK? I own several of their taillights, and they're a great company----but their rear fender mounting situation SUCKS. I initially set my Pacer up with 700x25 Continental Ultra 3000 tires, but I decided to put 700x28 Ruffy Tuffys on. I swapped the tires AND GOT FENDER RUB. No biggie, I thought. I'll adjust the fender and no problem. Wrong. The rear fender uses a separate plastic mounting clip, and no matter how I adjusted or modified it, the thickness of the clip kept causing the rear tire to rub on the fender. Stick to SKS fenders.
