The center of the screen shows your pedal stroke. The less round, the greater the power loss. So, a figure 8 shaped stroke has a lot of power loss. The center area of the 8 is all dead power. We want to, with fixing your position and making sure the bike's the right size, bars, shifters in the correct position, etc...higher seat, whatever, and you watch your power increase and your stroke round out. Obviously, a circle is perfect, but there's always a soft spot in everyone's stroke. We can look at each leg (are you 50-50 or is there an issue with one leg being less straight, do you supinate or pronate) and also the power for each.

It's how you get more efficient. You don't have to work as hard to go faster. You go from 20 miles to the gallon to 30...and no pain in your back, neck, feet, etc...

Here's some more info. This is not an inexpensive piece of equipment. However, it provides graphic evidence to customers just how much power they are losing, and as the fit progresses, they can watch their stroke improve. No hocus pocus. The customer leaves with their "before" and "after" charts as well as their exact fit and every dimension on the bike.

This is why I told patentcad to see if he could find someone that could do this for him...it's instant feedback on your position (especially on a time trial bike) and getting it dialed in properly is the quickest way to increase power and speed given a rider's level of fitness.

Here's a story from Pezcyclingnews on the Computrainer. I've done races on ours. When you ride in the pack, it even allows for a draft...it reduces the effort and picks it back up when you go to pass and enter clean air.
