First ride for.... 6(?) years.
Went round to a friends' last night. He'd fixed my bike for me which was very good of him and he asked if I wanted to tag along for a ride he was taking with a friend. Which I did. I haven't been mountain biking for many years (probably about six but even then it was never real mountain biking). I was very apprehensive.
I loved it! We didn't do anything too tough, this is Berkshire after all, but it was great. Fell off just once and made intimate aquaintance with a nettle bush but nothing that kept me off the bike.
I don't suppose there's much point to this post really. I'm knackered, sore and beat up and I want to do it all over again tonight...
I need to do this more often.
