I find the SUVs more difficult to track precisely at low speed. I've got an Explorer and a smaller Ranger pickup - and a little BMW (ancient). The BMW is much easier to track all the corners & the wheels on. The Ranger isn't too bad - it's pretty narrow and I can see very well in the mirrors. The Explorer is a pain. It's just long and wide enough, and there's something about the orientation of everything, that makes it just a bit harder. I parked in Alexandria the other day, an easy parallel park, and I'm 2' from the curb!!! Weird. So I think part of it is the SUV configuration.
On the other hand, most people just can't drive anything! But I can drive fine. Sometimes I think a big straight truck is easier to drive than the dang Explorer.
