Common sense also equates to being prepared, thus, I choose to carry something other that just my senses.

I guess, we can just all agree to disagree, and I'm fine with that. If one thinks he/she doesn't need a weapon then just let them be. What bothers me though, is how other people in this thread pass judgement on those of us who do, like we are overly paranoid for allowing ourselves to excercise our right to self defense. If you choose not to (or just can't) carry a weapon, then that's you choice, but don't despise us who can.
BTW, paranoia to me, means "heightened awareness". I see nothing wrong with that.
