despite what is written regularly in the Rivendell Reader (or in the semi-regular flamewars in the Roadie Forums of BF) the world is not neatly bifurcated into the two tribes of lycra racer weight weenies and/or paleolithic retro grouches.

There are a lot of us who ride clipless on steel bikes with racks and panniers while wearing lycra; and we get tired of the hyperbolic Pepsi v. Coke, Republican v. Democrat comparisons that say that if you like clipless then you've imbibed in the racer wanna be Kool Aid or that you're a Fred if you like having fenders on a bike.

Ride what you like, like what you ride.
