That about sums up what it should be around here. But having said that i've only encountered one guy on a roadbike who was riding it seriously.
An elitist? I hope not....I think cycling is all about fun and how you do it whether it's riding a beach cruiser in surf trunks or the latest road bike fun wearing team apparel, fun is the bottom line. I think if you carefully read my post, what I'm trying to say is that I really don't care for the idea of trying to separate cyclists into "poseur" and "non-poseur' camps. I mean, where do you draw the line? If you don't race, does that make you a "poseur". The whole intent of the term "poseur" is meant to belittle an individual in a certain sense. And I don't ever want to do that. I'd like to see more folks cycling and having fun. What they ride and what they wear means very little to me, although when it's cold, I might think "Sheesh, how can he be riding without leg warmers!"
