I had that issue too. I was getting some rub on the rear brake pads. I thought it was play in the bearings, and replaced them. Turned out it was flex in the frame.

As stated above the play goes away when the bearings are loaded, so unless your having problems as you ride the bike , I wouldn't worry about it.
