Bikes: LOOK 595 Ultra/Campy Record 10Sp, restored Guerciotti/Campy C-Record 6 Sp, TIME RXR/Campy SR 11Sp, and Colnago C-60 with Campagnolo SR 11sp.

I typically ride in the late afternoon and evenings, except for the long sunday ride which I do early in the AM. With the shorter days, leaving early on sunday mornings means dark and so is riding in later afternoon and evenings. I have mixed feelings about ridng at night. Too many idiots that don't care for the lights or bikes, although much cooler and tolerable than mid summer days, it can also bee too cool when cold out. Also, there is no much of an scenery, so you loose perspective of distance and speed, which makes you go slower unconsciously. Have you noticed how when driving in the middle of the night you feel as if you are going faster than you really are? Lack of scenery can also cause you to loose interest and want to ride less. Noticed how riding a trainer for one hour feels like riding outside for 3 hours?

Now, if I did not ride at those hours, I probably would never be able to ride during the week at all.
