Could be. But what I got from what Vande Velde was saying was that he considered his Tour over and that he was tired and ready to get it over with. He wasn't trying to work during yesterday's stage 20. He was looking to take it easy. But unfortunately for him (Vande Velde), some of the others' Tour wasn't over yet. I don't think he was concerned about helping to chase down Simieoni for Armstrong. He was just trying not to get dropped - he talks about how he almost got dropped on the Champs.
