I've never tried them, but honestly if it never rained, and I never went off the gravel, the Pythons, Small block 8s, Maxxis minitour or Specialized fast trak pro's would be all the traction I would need. But alas, It does rain. Mudholes abound that plug your tires just long enough for for you next rocky ascent to be negated. So I opt for a little more aggressive tread pattern. I'm willing to give up some rolling resistance for a little more traction when I need it.
