I've got a set of lightning strikes and they work well. They don't completely block the tops of my bars, but the armrests do reduce the amount of area that you can use on the tops.

There really isn't a "perfect" shorty aerobar system out there. Oval makes the best, but it needs wing bars and a special stem, which is only compatible with 26.0 bars. And, shockingly enough, the only 26.0 wing bars are sold by Oval. And they cost $300. Here's a write-up on the Oval system if you're interested: http://www.slowtwitch.com/mainheadin...r/shorty2.html
