I've been wedging a thick screwdriver between the other crank and frame to try and get leverage but it's not moved enough for me to get it loose, and the parktool site is down with their tips! I've been using both a pedal wrench and allen key.

Edit: and yeah, I'm turning it the right way (anti-clockwise for left, IIRC - I must've got it right, as I undid the driveside - and that's a clockwise un-do, the backwards way).
If it stuck on from corrosion, first pour a kettle of boiling water over the pedal spindle/crank area. Ideally you would use 2 cheater bars in the form of 2, 1 meter length pieces of metal tubing...one over the pedal wrench and one over the crank arm. After the boiling water soak you may not need to do this, but when all else fails, resort to brute force and long leverage devices. Be aware of the possibility of taking a couple crank threads with the pedal when it does come out. You might want to use the kettle..try to break the bond...then work it back and forth a little as it comes out with some more boiling water After removal have a shop ream out the threads so you have a nice clean interface.

The cross race was fun again today. It looks like Wes' handle should now include the number seven as he is showing his consistency by again getting 7th. "Bumpy Knuckles the 7th"? Mike came in right behind I believe. Jeremy aka Darkmother had his worst race so far in 3rd, getting roughed up by a couple of young kids. Nothing but podiums so far for him. I made the points in 14th YAY! My buddy Graham won our Master 3 race but had to leave before the podium. So I got to accept his prizes for him...closest I get to an actual podium its safe to say.
