I apologize for not making it clear in the opening post. What I want to do to keep the paintjob from lifting is do the OPPOSITE of what sprintr is doing. Instead of using the "rounder" part of the clamp to evenly squeeze the gap on the rear side of the frame, I want to line the gap on the clamp with the gap on the frame.

Just to make sure... no catastrophic aftereffects of doing the opposite of what most people do with their clamps? Thanks!
