i have heard that you can get past the "bicycle fee" by claiming you are checking bike parts and not a bike. just hoping someone has tried it on this airline. cause i have to go away last minute and cannot afford the 80 bucks each way that this airline charges for a bike(machine guns are free by the way)

just looking for some help.
