for instance, mx_599 stands for motocross and 599 was my number. for the record, lower two digit numbers only really matter if you're a nationally ranked professional. i didn't like totally suck because i had a three digit number. back me on that dminor!

My number plate was 777; but I got to pick it myself - - we didn't have a plate system for sportsman-class racers, at least in Washington. For the record, I think mountain bike racing ought to go to a number plate system with permanent numbers.
