Bikes: Specialized hardrock rigid

Back in the saddle

It's almost 6 months to the day since my big wreck, just bought myself a Specialized Hardrock Rigid, the cheapest bike I was willing to ride and it's a bit of a work in progress for upgrades. I had not forgotten how much I love bikes, I love riding them, I love the mechanics and I love pimping my bike with all sorts of nice components and bits of carbon fibre.

My wreck left me with two broken arms and 9 bolts in my right shoulder, see the avatar thingy. I still have to have one more opp on my left arm because they were so busy fixing the busted right shoulder and left wrist that they missed the break in my left forearm! that needs spinning around and bolting together and is due in a few weeks time.

Anyhow I've just bought a really cheap hardtail that I'll do a few upgrades on, I might take a few components of my old wrecked bike, that now dead because the driver hit me hard enough to crack right through a chainstays.

I had wondered how I would feel getting on a bike but I love it more than ever, after a few bad months and where I could hardly move my arms it's a huge step back to normality.

Just thought I'd share it...
