I ONLY use FSA compression plugs on carbon steerer forks, regardless of manufacturer. In just the past year, I've used the FSA plug on 27 different builds. The two forks that broke were the only ones to use FSA OS-115 stems. I checked all of my records about 10 minutes ago. I have the plug on all 3 of my carbon steerer bikes and they work perfectly.

And WeightWeenies is just that...a bunch of weenies trying to build a 9 pound bike that is unrideable. I wouldn't put much creedence in what they say simply because they likely don't ride the bikes they build with any anger.

Sorry, DocDumb, but you are from correct in this instance. I know you say dumb sh*t on this board just to get a rise out of people, but your wholesale assumption has only made an ass out of you...

Check your stems people. The collarbone you save may be your own.
I'm sure you've had several OS-115 stems fail, because you've installed them. Sorry dude, but no one is seeing this 'problem' but you and the bikes you touch. This is across two forums and many countries.

Carbon steerers have not been around that long, sounds like you may need to go back to DeVry or wherever and freshen up. Hint: torque wrench.

Thanks for the thread, we know how to save our collarbones, ...avoid your shop.

I've emailed FSA and Thomson about this myself, let's see what they say.
