Shifting/hoods/hand position is more personal than you realize, I think.
Not that there's anything wrong with SRAM, but I'm hoping you aren't going to buy a new product that hasn't been out there that long just because of the weight. I sure wouldn't want to be a beta tester for them, after seeing what happened with some Force RD's.
my current road bike is a 2007 specialized roubaix expert compact rival...all sram rival. i love em! there was a minor problem withe the rival RD but my LBS got me the redesigned one for free...and it's been perfect ever since!
