I have 719's on my commuter/utility bike. Mavic says 28's are the narrowest but I've tried 25's and while they stayed on the rim they appeared too narrow, I doubt 23's would even stay on the rim.

I'm now running 28 on the front and 34 on the rear and find it the best allroun utility setup.
