Bikes: The kind with two wheels

Never can say goodbye...

Not sure about the rest of you, but for some reason I just realized that I just can not say goodbye to my old, first-ever pair of bibs.

I just came up from the basement where I hung a load of cycling laundry to dry on the lines down there. As I pulled the old bibs out I thought to myself once again, 'Geez, these are pretty grungy...my oldest bibs...I should just toss them."

But once again, I could not do it. I hung them up with the rest of my bibs.

Now, understand that I really don't need these bibs. I have about 8-10 pairs of bibs, all newer than the old originals. These must have five years on them.

For some reason I've got it in my head that I may just run short at some point and need to wear the old ones, so I keep them.

I've actually never thrown out a pair of old bibs yet in seven years of cycling.

How long have you kept yours?
