i bought this on craigslist from a somewhat sketchy character and i have very little info on the bike. i believe it is from the late 70's or early 80's. its equipped with what i think is mostly campy nuovo record parts. i know the brake levers are at the very least, and the hubs say "campagnolo record" on them, and it also has a 135mm campy crank (i dont believe it's original, but what do i know) and a 44t chainring that i put on it. it previously had a 53t & 39t chainring (see photo). its got a really random salsa handlebar stem as well.
i got thrown off because the frame appears to be cheap. i dont know a whole lot about this stuff but it has a atala sticker/decal badge on the front (not metal? though it's a metal-y sticker) and the atala logos on the tubes are all decals on top of the paint. the paint job appears to be original, and is a nice pearly white color. its pretty light, but i suspect it's due to it's small size (about 51cm).
it seems to be a great bike now that ive fixed her up a little. it was in less than stellar condition when i bought it for $200.
anyone with any info on this bike, i appreciate your replies! i've scoured the internet and there is not a lot of info on these bikes. i like to know what i'm riding and whether or not i got ripped off when i purchased it.
thanks!
PS ill post more close-up photos later
