I'm using a surly 1x1, so I think it would be difficult to keep the chain tight and the disc aligned at the same time. I use a nexus 8 speed too. I'd like to have a steel frame with sliding drops with disc tabs, but I'll have to wait on that one.

I've ordered the disc fork and disc brakes, should arrive this Thursday.
