I hate to say this but you're still cross-chaining. The condition is the chain position, not the noise. Trim shifts minimize the noise, but the chain is still crossed over. You really should avoid the big cog/big ring and small cog small ring positions if possible. Your drivechain will thank you by lasting longer between chain/cassette changes etc.
