Pretty cool bike.

Does anyone know if the saddle can be recovered (it has a small hole)?

Also is there a general checklist of refurbishing a bike like this? I don't want to miss anything.

Any recommendations on chrome cleaner? I have been using Noxon.
Just replace the saddle. It's probably not worth the effort and your wife won't find it very comfortable.

Do you have a bike co-op nearby? They can help you with this project. Adjust the brakes, replace cables if needed, brake shoes if needed. Grease the bearings in the wheels, headset and bottom bracket, unlessed they are sealed bearings.

For chrome use bronze wool. For aluminum use Blue Magic, Mothers, Semi Chrome, etc.

Good luck and welcome.
