it seems that other than the small handful of used NJS frames on ebay, iros, pistas, bare/brass knuckle etc. i'm having a hard time finding mid/high-range steel track frames, especially new.
Because hardly anyone who actually wants a track frame wants steel and those few luddites that do want to get it custom anyway, if you add lugs into the equation the number of luddites shrinks and the desire for custom increases. Simply put there is absolutely no reason to choose steel over other materials once you start making something like that master.
Thinking that a colnago without campy is a sin is idiotic.
