How did you like the photo of the piebald deer? I have never seen such a thing, nor had my husband. We have been going to that same area down by the town of Rainier for over ten years, and never even suspected that such a thing existed. Hooded mergansers FTW! I love the hooded mergansers, the drakes are so elegant.

Yesterday we collected three pounds of chanterelles and I scored a Sparassis, first time I've ever even seen such a thing.



It weighs about six pounds, plans are to dry it for soups.
