It is common for a new frame to have a misaligned dropout I hear. I used the DAG-1 on my frame. I never saw the kind of shift precision on my bike prior to doing an alignment as I do now.
DAG-1 does not align dropouts and is the wrong tool for that. What the DAG-1 is for is aligning the dérailleur hanger to make sure it is parallel to the plane of the wheel. What you meant to say was:
