Someone did call in and say that they got rid of their car and use their bikes now... and the anchor pretty much dismissed her by saying "well that's fine if you live downtown... but what about the commuters?"

i like downtown; i thought i was a commuter? let's see: i want a huge house and lots of land and i don't want to have to pay a lot for it and i want to still earn a lot of money. what do you mean i have no right to complain about having to travel every day to get what i want.

i was driving back from whitby yesterday after visiting my folks; it will never cease to amaze me the sight you get of miles of row housing after you crest a hill coming down from one of the country roads. you are literally in the country and then bam! suburbs. it happens somewhere just south of highway 7...
