haha alright thanks for the confidence boost with it, comparing the dropouts with sheldonbrowns page they definately appear to be forged, the cranks are shimano deore, stem is SR, kashimax sea, the top of the seatpost needs to be replaced (if thats possible) im banking on a cheap replacement headset with new bearings and whatnot, next question is, do you guys think these cranks will work? like should i be able to take of the innermost and outermost rings (leaving me with a 46t inner ring)? by adding spacers or whatever? my dad has some old 700c wheels that are decent quality he said i can pick up next time im in newport, so im thinking of grabbing a formula flipflop for the rear and ditching the front wheel on the bike right now.
