I learned a long time ago that at a party where folks are drinking it's important to look like Ihave a drink so people don't get suspicious. I really think it's more that people drinking belive the non-drinker is jugdemental and if everyone gets buzzed, the non-drinker will see ho w silly folks can get. So I always walk around with a highball glass of water or gingerale. If they want to think I'm drinking vodka or whiskey. that's OK by me. As to wine and beer, generally people don't mind if you don't partake. Lots of people can't drink wine and heavy beer drinkers well just don't care.
