This morning I decided to ride to work. I've been thinking about it for a while, I even bought myself a killer commuter ride (see link in sig line). I rode to work without incident. I didnt cover my face or ears so my lungs and inner ears ached from the cold air but the rest of me was all sweaty becasue those insulated coveralls are a little wamer than I expected. I got to work and booted my computter to find this email from my wife:

Ry,
I locked my keys in your car (with my phone) I need you to come home and open
your car.
Tab
So I waited until a coworker showed up and borrowed his car to go let her in.
I guess worse things have happened but I just hated to have issues on my very first commute. My employer provides a company car so I believe they will have no sympathy for the special situations that can occur when you cyclo-commute. Their answer will be "just drive the car that we gave you and it won't be a problem".
Just thought I'd share my story. I hope to start riding in at least once a week, maybe more.
