They're painted. I have the Silver / blue version on both bikes - although I've wrapped the commuter bike's in electrical tape to avoid casual glances. Why the concern? The Red Yellow would tie in nicely with the yellow lettering on your rig.
This would be for my Nail Trail.
No yellow lettering there; in fact, the whole thing is more of a gunmetal colour.
I wonder if I could get them to sell me an unpainted one.
