Hmm.
Well, I don't understand why Kona chose the wide tires unless the commuter person is biking across fields to get to work. If you are commuting on paved roads, thinner is better.
Also, the Mt. Bike handlebars are curious. Maybe if your commute is three or four miles, they are OK, but I am on my wheel for at least 40 minutes per one-way commute. My hands would be falling asleep in the single position afforded by mt. bike bars.
Lights could be optional, but surely a commuter bike needs to have reflectors and rear blinkies extraordinaire.
Also, a commuter bike should have a rack.
I appreciate Kona's interest in the commuter market and I welcome new products, but this one is just a mt. bike with fenders.
