Hey folks,
Just got in from an M/C party and caught up on what's been going on. I'd been following this at work today, which ended about 40 minutes before the auction ended.
As someone who's been doing nothing more than monitoring what's been going on - nice work. Yeah, you can't always figure out ahead of time, and it won't always end the way you hope it will, but just because you took the time to stop someone from getting ripped off is a pat on the back unto itself.
This is something we (as a group) have to watch for in the future. And be especially careful as to who we're going after. I'd rather see some innocent get ripped off than have someone legitimate who's trying to sell a bike or parts get shut down unfairly.
And don't ever expect eBay to overly worry about the buyer. After all, they make THEIR money off the seller. That term 'caveat empetor' - that's been around for at least 2500 years now, hasn't it? And for bloody good reason?
