HELLO ALL! .. This is my first post after months of lurking/learning from the site.
I just picked this bike up over the weekend and was thinking about buying new break levers , doing a few small repairs (tape), and maybe making it SSpeed.

Is this bike worth the time.? Are these old fashion stem shifters any good if i decide to stay geared?
What year is this? I am thinking 80's...??
