There was a little kid and an older gentleman who were both kicking ass during Sunday morning's cross race.. I over heard that they were actually grandfather and grandson. Too awesome. I was just checking out the overall standings and they have the same name.. too funny. I was confused as to why the same name was appearing in both Under 13 and Master 3.

ps. the kid had some sort of mavic wheel out back on his mtb with a carbon hub (CrossMax SLR?). Oh, and a RockShox SID up front. He apparently rode the hill marked "run-up" in the tech guide (which I ran about 1/2 the time) and, according to Ted, was doing no-handed track stands in the parking lot after the race. He looked to be about 8 or 9 years old to me.
pps. Jan Sr. was totally chasing me the entire race. I hope I'm riding like than when I'm in my 60s!
