I'm not sure how you came up with a price of $450-$500 (unless that's your maximum limit) but if you want to spend less, an Easton Vista wheelset will cost you around $300. These are excellent hand-built wheels. My bike came with them and the shop recommends them as one of the most cost-effective wheelsets available.
