I weigh 215 lbs +/- and I have a set of the SL3's and a set of elites and have had no problems. I wish the ES's had been on sale 4 months ago when I got the SL3's. No flex or anything. I have about 6000 miles on the Elites. Either one (as well as the ES) would scoff at your "tiny" 180 lbs. I say get them.
