A jersey is a jersey.

Bright colors help you to be seen on the road.

Team colors/logos/catchy slogan/commercial names add a "coolness" factor. You can put as much or as little value in the coolness factor as you want. It's all yours.

Heck, there are people out there who are still riding in cutoffs sweats. They are happy regardless of how we esteem them.
