As someone above mentioned, you're almost never going to see any posts in ANY forum with people keeping track how long their frame is still going (2005, still in one piece; 2006, still in one piece; 2007, still in one piece). They're going to be posting and getting the most attention when they suffer catastrophic frame failure. This minority is the one who'll make the most noise and create the biggest waves. I think it really IS an anomaly in the sense that for every 1000 frames sold, you might have 1 or 2 with an issue of some kind. If Litespeed had a reputation of building faulty frames they wouldn't be in business for long.
My litespeed frame has not failed.

Now, the real design wheels it came with are another story...
