roadies has nothing to do with snobbery. it's just a term that generally describes people who ride seem to ride bikes purely for fitness (thus, no need for locks, bags, bike clothes are fine since you're not going to be sitting around in them), unlike a lot of us who commute and rec ride on the same bikes. the weird thing is how there is this contrived roadie / track bike kid rivalry.
