Check the website of PBAA: perimeterbicycling.com it *may* give the route.
If you can't find anything there, suggest you start in town of Bisbee (elevation 5,280 ft). Take Hwy 80 to Tombstone (about 24 miles). Continue on Hwy 80 and turn left on Hwy 82. Then left on Hwy 90 through Huachuca City towards and through Sierra Vista. Stay on Hwy 90 then right on Hwy 80 UP Mule Pass to Bisbee. Should be around 80-some miles. Bring at least 2 water bottles each and refill when you hit a town. As you found out on El Tour the humidity is a bit low and you need to drink more.
Great descent down Mule Pass and through faily long tunnel when you leave Bisbee (done 50 mph on tandem) and rolling/climbing most of the way. Long climb back into Bisbee
Stuff/water available in Bisbee, Tombstone, Huachuca City and Sierra Vista.
Bisbee: do the Copper Mine tour, Lavender Pit Mine (huge hole in the ground), eat at any of their nifty restaurants and there's a several B&B, plus Copper Queen Hotel. Tombstone: Boothill Cemetery at edge of town, OK Corral (you might catch the shootout at the OK Corral) and lotsa touristy stuff. Huachuca City and Sierra Vista have no remarkable sights but are friendly towns. Overnight accomodations in all towns mentioned. A bit out of Sierra Vista is the Ramsey Canyon Nature Preserve with scads of hummingbirds.
If you want some more miles, ride from Bisbee to Douglas (bout 48 miles round trip), and back, and go across the border into Mexico if you want. Enjoy!
