Almost took the MTB today, but chose roadie - most of the majors are clear enough. I walked the bike to Ronces down Marion, though (ice is my concern, snow was a breeze)

in years past i've ridden with slicks, but as of this week i'm using an old hybrid and i'm really surprised how stable the tires feel over the ice. kendas = cheap and easy (just like me). unlike knobby tires that can get bunged up with snow (and then become more slippery imho) or studs (though i have yet to try them) that shouldn't see pavement, they have a chevron tread.
