We have a hard and fast rule that we stay the hell at home from Thanksgiving until the following Monday, unless we need to go out for food or something.
I suspect the traffic would be quite light if I went to work, since there really aren't any stores between me and work, or for 10 miles around, other than grocery and hardware stores and other such things.
